Objectives
General objective
The objective of PPGMS is to graduate masters and doctors in health and related fields, contributing to the emergence of new professors and researchers in several professional fields in Brazil.
Specific objectives
- Foster the integration between graduate and undergraduate courses with the participation of professors, researchers, and health professionals;
- Maintain a consistent and stable output of scientific production throughout the years;
- Graduate and direct new researchers in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil, addressing the demand in these regions;
- Promote the internationalization of PPgMS through cooperation and exchanges with foreign universities, increasing accessibility to foreign students and visiting professors from diverse health and related fields to PPgMS;
- Expand the academic and scientific mobility of students and professors in the Program, in Brazil and foreign institutions, training researchers in a globalization of science perspective;
- Graduate researchers that can contribute to solving predominant health problems in Brazilian society.
Mission:
Generate and promulgate science and technology in the health field, a basis for training professionals, professors, and researchers to act within high technical and ethical standards in their performance committed to social justice at local, national, and international levels.

A graduate course that in its excellence is aligned with social and local demands and carries a management model that ensures scientific and technological development in the multidisciplinary health fields, along with a growing international presence.
